Big Girl Bed

My baby's growing up! We finally got around to getting a big girl bed for Emma. She was very excited to try it out! I about cried, both tears of pride for my big girl and tears of sadness for how fast she is growing up! This is a milestone in her life. She only fell out once during her first night. I helped her get back in and she went back to sleep. Night 2 went smoothly, as far as I know! Pretty soon (with fingers crossed) she will be potty trained!

I love the legs crossed i the first picture. She is a doll. I can't believe how big she is, her hair is so long too.

She is a little mini-you, I love it! Isn't the whole growing up thing so sad and fun at the same time? Time goes way too fast!

The only I hated about the big girl/boy bed in this house is that they no longer had bars to keep them confined. That was tough. It took a lot of nights of putting them back into bed a million times before they realized we were dead serious that they needed to stay in bed!!! I bet she feels like such a big girl!

Fortunately, she hasn't realized yet that she is able to leave her bed after she wakes up. She still waits for us to get her up and either sings or calls us when she is ready to wake up. We'll see how long that lasts, but we are in no hurry to let her in on the little secret of her new-found freedom.

She looks SO grown up! I can't believe it. I hope you are having great luck with her in her new bed and working on the potty training.

Christian does the same thing when he wakes up: Sings or Hollers to get us to come get him out of bed. I love that he stays put.

What a big girl Miss Emma is!

She looks so different. Wow, she got big so fast. Sniff, sniff. I heard some toddler in church talking like Emma, sort of french sounding and I missed her.
