Today is the last day of summer. I found a few summer photos that I neglected to post so I figured this would be the day to do so. I am so sad that summer is over. Summer is my favorite time of year. I love the warm, sunny weather and all the beautiful plants and trees. I love walks around the neighborhood with the baby in the stroller. I love the simple wardrobe- t-shirt, capris, a pair of flip flops and you're ready to go! I love the big 4th of July celebration with my family. I love backyard barbecues. I love swimming on hot days. I love getting a shaved ice and cotton candy at the fair. I love the way the warm cement smells when the water hits it, either from the sprinkler or a little summer rain storm. I love the carefree feeling that comes from being out of school- even though I'm done with school I still feel that same carefree feeling during the summer. I love the summer sunsets and the beautiful full moons that you can enjoy outside because its still warm in the evening. I love the smell of freshly mowed grass. I love being entertained by the movies that come out during the summer. I could go on and on! Why does summer have to go by so fast?

I am VERY sad to see summer go as well. And wouldn't you know that on the last day it is raining?? I love fall but will miss all the wonderful things summer has. Love all of the cute pictures. Thanks for the sad post : )
Thanks for the post. Summer is my favorite season as well!! I think I know why it goes by so fast. It is 3 months that we have without hardly any rain then it rains for 9 straight months. Summer is our little heaven on earth. :-) One of my favorite things about summer is seeing little white buns in the bath tub. The rest of their body's are so tan except for the bottoms.
Summer was my favorite season, too, until I moved to South Texas! Now I am SOOO looking forward to fall and winter! We finally get to come out and play again. Isn't it hilarious that here, playgroup gets cancelled during the summer because of the heat?!
AMEN to all you said about summer! I was so sad to come out of church today to a down pour of rain. Rain, rain go away!
Seeing little Emma in the pool DOES make me miss summer but I DO love fall. The holiday season is one of my favorites :)
