Camping

We went camping last weekend. It was kind of a last minute decision. It was only for one night so we figured it would be fun despite our lack of good camping equipment. We met up with Mike's Dad who had a camping trailor. Emma ended up sleeping most the night in the trailor while Mike and I slept in a tent. At 5 am she cried and wanted her mom & dad so she joined us in the tent! We only have a 2 man tent, so it was pretty tight! I'm sure you're thinking, "How much space could a 2 year old take up?" You'd be suprised! But it all worked out. We had a fun time canoeing in the lake, roasting marshmellows, hiking through the woods and laughing around the campfire! I enjoy camping except for the sleeping in the tent part, having to put your shoes on in the middle of the night to hike to the outhouse part and not getting a shower in the morning part! Other than that, camping is a blast! Here are a few photos from our adventure:
Mike cooking dinner for us all. He made a dish called "Macaroni More".
Its kind of like Spaghetti. It was delicious!
Emma and Grandpa sharing some chips.
Emma giving Grandpa a kiss.

Emma and I snuggling by the campfire. It was nice to cuddle my sleeping little toddler who is usually pretty active!

I LOVE it when babies that age fall asleep in your arms. Emma looks so happy and cozy.

Emma's hair is so cute up like that!

Camping can be so fun, but I'm with ya on the sleeping in a tent part, and outhouse part. No thanks! I can see why so many people do RV's!

Oh, I have good memories of you camping with us!

I LOVE camping! I'm impressed that you did a last minute trip for one night. That's alot of packing and preparing for one night:0) Last summer we camped at this place that pretty much had a hole in the ground for a bathroom. It smelled so bad! DISGUSTING! Luckily somebody smart left a bottle of orange oil for people to sniff while doing their business. Oh the joys of camping:0)

I LOVE the picture of you snuggling your cute, sleepy girl! What a sweet pic! We love to camp in our family but have found it difficult with Megan. She doesn't like to sleep in the camper so we end up staying awake ALL NIGHT! We will get back to it when she gets a tad bit older :)
Glad you had fun!
