The Cast is off!

The cast came off Thursday! It was a little scary and traumatic as they had to saw it off with an electric saw that sounded like a really mean, loud vacuum. Emma usually runs away when I vacuum so you can imagine how scary this had to be for her! For the first few hours I could tell she felt naked without her cast on. She didn't move her arm at all and kept saying "Owie. No monkeys bed!" Pretty soon she started to use it more and more and now its as if she never had a broken arm! I've even had to remind her a few times that there is no more jumping on the bed! We got to keep the cast, although I'm not sure what I will do with it! As you can see in the photo, she wants nothing to do with her old, pink cast! I tried to get her to hold it and smile for a photo but she just wouldn't. Maybe I'll make some little artsy fartsy decoration with the cast and monkeys as a reminder of what can happen when she jumps on the bed. I'll pull it out every time I ever catch her jumping on her bed again! Anyhow, we're glad to have that cast off!
